It doesn’t happen often, but I was in the office all week. I have realized when I am not traveling it is harder to get my steps in. I thought it would be the other way around, but now I understand how much I walk in airports and to meetings.
I focus on getting in 7+ miles per day. I knew I’d need to increase my time on the treadmill each morning so I did that. The strategy this week was to make sure I get my steps in during lunch. Each day I took a break and headed over to the galleria across the street and hammered out a few miles. On Friday I switched it up as I needed a break from the galleria so I walked up the parking deck, not using the stairs, from the ground floor to the seventh floor.
I have learned it is harder to find the time than it is to find the spot. There are lots of places you can walk…you just have to make the time to do it. It only takes 30-45 each day. You can fit in a good walk during lunch and still have time to eat. Don’t let the excuses derail you.
