Any time I get out of bed and the Browns are leading the division it must be a good day to run. I was able to lay down 3.4 miles this morning at a 10:23 pace. My Garmin watch seems to like to keep me in that 10:20ish range…it has to be the watch it can’t be the runner.
Speaking of ranges…a lot of my time over the past few weeks has been spent on breaking through plateaus. I have realized if you do the same thing over and over you usually aren’t going to be able to change the outcome (yes, insanity…I get it). I have started to change things up by doing longer runs or shorter and faster runs. My body gets comfortable doing the same thing, just like it got comfortable not working out. Mixing things up is a must for me to keep my body guessing a bit. I know my limits and I watch them closely so I try not to overdue it (like I did earlier this week). There are lots of things we can plateau in from working out, to work, to personal so living your life mixing things up seems to be a smarter way to do things. Why did it take me 41 years to learn this? 🙂
