Wednesday run: cutting corners

I jumped out of bed today ready to conquer. Still dealing with some tight muscles so my goal today was to be faster than yesterday. I ran my 5K with a 9:52 average so I hit my goal.

Running through my head today was cutting corners. At the gym track I can stay in my lane all the way around…31 times. Or I can cut the corners into the inside lanes. The thinking is maybe it will take less time to get to the end if I cut the corner. There are times where cutting corners can help. Working out shouldn’t be one of these times. Honestly over my life more times than not when I cut corners it doesn’t pay off. So…I will stay the path and remain focused on my lane.

Decide to dominate!
