It was a busy morning. I got up late, but made it to my training appointment with seconds to spare. My trainer put me through the paces for a tough upper body workout. I then had to zip home to prep for my 5K.
I wanted to post a good time, but knew after a day of long travel it would be tough. I decided to leave everything I had on the road and went out quick. I finished strong and got my fastest time in a 5K to date by 1 second.
I did this race a few years ago, but all I could muster was walking with the family in the 1.5 mile fun walk. Today I showed up 70 lbs lighter and ready to compete. This journey has truly been life changing.
