After my sons baseball game we stopped for ice cream. I went all out and got cake batter ice cream in a waffle cone…yummy. We went home and I started watching the Indians…I could feel my eyes getting heavy by the third inning and the sugar crash was coming on.
I told myself I’d get up off the couch at 4:30 and start moving. I looked down and was about 9,000 steps short of my 20,000 daily step goal. I checked the weather and saw it was 85 and humid. Clearly the cake batter made me do what came next. I threw on my running gear and clipped off 4 miles at a 10:17 pace. I hit my step goal and I felt a whole heck of a lot better as I defeated the sugar comma that was about to set in.
I did manage to get a ride in this morning of 22 miles. I was happy to get both sports covered today even though it took the cake batter to get me off my butt.
Decide to dominate!
PS…headbands are once again in style in Ohio now that the King is back home.
