Didn’t know what to expect today from my legs. I didn’t follow my usual training cadence and everything seemed rushed at the end of the week. Maybe I should prepare that way more often as I had a good run. It could have also been that they told us to run like gods so I ran like a god.
I smashed my 10 mile and 15K records that I set two weeks ago. I shaved 3 minutes off my 15K at 1:27 and 5 minutes off my 10 mile at 1:31. I was very happy where I finished…66 out of 94 for my age and 683 out of 1417 overall. I’ll probably never be the fastest guy in my group, but to improve like this race over race is all I’m looking for. I shot for 9:30 as an average and I came in at 9:22…check. This has been a long road to get to this point and now I’m enjoying the heck out of it.
Decide to dominate!
PS…getting a cool medal at the end always makes the run better!
